James Arthur Douglas is a New York City Based Tenor & Actor, most recently performing with The Atlanta Opera in a bilingual version of Rossini’s delightful and energetic The Barber of Seville as Count Almaviva. Created by stage director Kristine McIntyre. The 45-minute adaptation was performed in Spanish and English, and will be presented to over 19,000 elementary-aged children.
James also performed with The Atlanta Opera in Verdi’s La Traviata as a member of the chorus.
Earlier this year, James was awarded 2nd Prize at the 2019 Pro Mozart Society of Atlanta Scholarship Competition.
Starting in June, James will step into the titular role of The Beast in Prather Production’s Beauty and the Beast at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theater in Fort Myers, Florida. Shows will run from June 20th until August 10th.
